Board of Directors
Board members are expected to be active members of OBMSA, participate on at least one committee, and serve for a term of three years. The Board of Directors is made up of interested residents, business owners and building owners in the downtown.

Staff
Meredith Maus, Executive DirectorMeredith Maus, a native of the south shore of Long Island, received her bachelor of arts degrees in Anthropology and History from the University of New Hampshire and her Master's Degree in Historic Preservation from the University of Vermont.
After graduating with her MS in 2012, she was hired by OBMSA as a Project Manager. She worked over a year and a half on the administration of the major grants of the organization including the 2009 and 2011 NYMS grants, Preserve America Grant, and the privately funded OBMSA Facade and Sign Grant (for more information on these grants please see our grant section). In September 2013, Ms. Maus was promoted to be the organization's Executive Director. She continues to work on the grants of the organization as well as taking on new projects such as creating a safer more walkable downtown and providing technical assistance and support to Oyster Bay's small business owners and building owners. |
Sasha Freedman, Project ManagerPrior to working at OBMSA, Sasha worked as a Real Estate Agent at the Brookville Office of Laffey Fine Homes, as a Planner at H2M Architects & Engineers in New Jersey and as a Green Building (LEEDtm) Consultant. She has a Master’s Degree in City and Regional Planning from the Bloustein School at Rutgers University and a Bachelor’s of Arts in English Language and Literature from Smith College.
As a current Resident of East Norwich, Sasha not only brings pivotal expertise, but important insight as a member of our community. |
